On Saturday December 17, 2021, Wreaths Across America gathered volunteers to place memorial wreaths on the graves of fallen soldiers.  Alliance Board members helped lead the ceremony at Battleground National Cemetery, the final resting place of 41 U.S. soldiers who died for the cause of freedom at the Battle of Fort Stevens.  With NPS and local boy scouts, the ceremony remembered the men, with taps played by Alliance bugler Tom Sneeringer.
